    Re: Splash!

Great shot. It really encompasses everything, the field conditions, the fight for the ball, throwing the elbow, the two girls in the background watching... I love it. Focus looks spot-on as well.

Those are the kind of a games that are a lot of fun to watch and to photograph (if your cameras and lenses are well protected). Very nice catch on this one.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Nice capture, the splashing water adds so much to it.

Thanks. Do you think this is more striking in Color or Black and white? In your opinion..

    Re: Splash!

B&W in my opinion... makes the faces jump out from the dark background, and the light splashes jump out from the dark ground.

    Re: Splash!

I like the BW better even though I was the one that asked you to post the color it allows the gloom of playing in the rain and muck by putting it in black and white.

    Re: Splash!

I like color better. I don't think it's the type of image that lends itself well to a b&w treatment. Most of the time I am opposed to b&w treatment on action shots unless the color is off, but you have good color to work with.

I really like the B&W shot better than the color! Great shot!

    I prefer the colour too.
It loses the impact without the red & black shirts.

    Re: Splash!

I too like the color and for sports I think color works best in most instances. However, one of my favorite shots of my son pitching I kept him in color and turned the bg B&W.

    Nice action bw!
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
