Nice shots JS. When I was at Indy a few years ago for qualifing I took some time to go throught he musem. It was a real thrill to see some of the vintage racers they had on display. I was a guest of Valvoline that day with pit passes and great buffet to go with a good day at the track.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Some Vintage Indy

    Thanks Racinbabe98 & OT.
hehhehe...they do serve some good food at the Speedway, even to the lowley media! Thats one of the perks for sitting out there all day in the heat/cold/rain or all the above.

I went to the museum once, back in 1999 where I found a relatives car sitting proudly. Back in 1946 a cousin of my mothers cousin whom she never met won the Indy 500 as car owner. He was Joel Thorne and he ws to have driven the car himself but brike his leg a few weeks before May riding a motorcycle. Joel can be seen in victory lane in a wheel chair with George Robeson the winning driver.
Joel was an innovator at Indy being one of the first to use a radio in the car. He died an hour after celebrating his 45th birthday when his plane crashed into an appartment building in LA.
