NCAA Lacrosse championship in Philadelphia...it was a blast being on the sidelines with all the SI pros.
I am a big fan of this shot. Just wish I had cropped tighter at first, as the quality's lost a bit when cropping on PS.
fun little shot of one of the ballboys. Most of the time they were just goofing around, doing stuff that i wasn't able to do until sophomore year in HS.
I like the composition and the movement, but for some reason I don't like the shot as much...the harsh shadows that day really ruined a lot of good shots
one of my favorite shots from the weekend. The stupid mistake I made was that I was shooting in Av with an exposure compensation of 0. With the bright white jerseys, the cmaera was metering them and correctly exposing the white jerseys, therefore underexposing the entire photo. I had to do quite a bit of work with dark photos. I learned from my mistake though. I now shoot everything manual.
here's one of the worst victims of the underexposing. I really liked this shot too, as it was right before he cut across the crease and pulled off an aerobatic diving shot. So I worked on it a bit...
and came out with this. Looks pretty good to me, compared to the original. Can anyone do a better job?
Hopkins up by 1 in the last minute of the game, and they have the ball in their offensive zone. Duke pulls their goalie out of the net in order to have 1 more defender to try and cause a turn-over. Hopkins midfielder Kyle Harrison (shown here) makes a dodge through a couple defenders and takes a shot on an open net. A lot of people disapproved of the move. But he missed anyways.
From the Salisbury v. Middlebury DIII championships. I actually don't dislike this shot because the players are out of focus. What I like the most is the ball that's frozen that's so sharp. The ball is the focus of all the players, and the focus of the photo too.
not the greatest action shot, put a pretty sweet individual picture
and last but certainly not least...
my favorite shot from the entire weekend. DII champs, with Limestone v. NYIT. The sheer emotion coming from the shot gives me goosebumps. NYIT went on to win it with an OT goal.
