    Some Judo shots

Not much luck with those few-and-far-between big circular throws though.

    Also applied some effect.

Great action! You caught those throws at just the right time. Looks like you had some pretty good light too.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

They're a little heavy on the editing as you can see halos in your bokeh backgrounds. But otherwise, nice action!

I agree with groovehouse about the editing. I think your timing and framing is very good but I found the processing distraction. They have an HDR look that I don't really like. I think the emphasis should be on the content and not processing style. Can you tell us why you processed them the way you did?

    Better details.

I used to do it primarily on the competitors so as to make them stand out better from the background (amateur sport and so no perfect background possible...usually). Here's some examples:

    A few more judo

    or here:

    A couple of Judo shots

This time I applied the effect...perhaps...a tiny little bit heavy-handed to the players and was too lazy to "fine-tune" the results afterwards :blush2:

    Also desaturated the color somewhat.

As for whether any effect should be applied, well, why not? I've seen track and field photos with effects applied, too, by some pro.

Thank you for the comments, guys !!
