    Sold My first photo ...

While not an action shot, I am pleased nonetheless. I post my photos at other sites, and this shot was on finalturngallery, a site for horseracing photos.

So here it is: King Of The Roxy, a 2yo colt, returning to the winner's circle after winning The Furturity at Belmont on 9/23/06. He is owned by Team Valor, and trained by Tod Pletcher, the #1 trainer in the country. They bought the picture to use on their website and brochure advertising.

nice image. I would have boosted the saturation, and left more space on the left, but I suppose whatever gets the sale works. It's a great feeling, huh?

Glad to hear about the sale Sue, I figured you'd have had a few by by what I have seen. I still haven't gotten to do any horse racing yet....but lots of other racing involving horsepower of the mechanical type

Keep it up! You'll get a lot more sales.

Way to go. Always nice to get that first one under your belt. I'm sure it's just the first of many. Keep it up.

Sorry I haven't replied sooner - out shooting more racers

Thanks for the feedback - yes it does feel good. Maybe things will get rolling ...

I know what mean re: saturation and my cropping (it's been mentioned before). I did two things for the client - sent them the untouched original, and an edited version as seen. I figured they could do as they wished as far as editing, depends on who's doing the layout.

Why thanks. Up to 5 years ago, while I love photography, I was concentrating on a music career. Due to life happning, the music was put on hold, so I guess my creative juices demanded an outlet. I picked up my second favorite thing, photography - less demands on my time - and only recently had the means in which to get the equipment needed to do what I wanted to do.

So basically, I have a late start, and am making up for lost time.
