Ahhhh - this is what I wanted to see! I take it these were shot with the 5D Mk III, too? They look very good. How high did you go with the ISO? There's no action in it but my favorite is the first one. That's a very focused, determined look on that pitcher's face. It shows that you don't always need motion for a great sports photo - especially not with baseball / softball.

I really like this set too. The compositions all work and the story is well-told. Nice!

I love these shots. The first shot is my favorite as well. The last shot I really enjoy. I have many of these. It looks like she is waiting on the coach for a signal and feeling a little defeated. Truth is...the batters odds are against them. Parents love these shots.

I like the night shot under the flag as well, I think perhaps it can be cropped closer to the group and the flag.

Thanks guys always love the input from everyone. Yes I did shoot them with my 5D and i don't recall ISO off hand. My camera is once again glued to my hands, so I hope to get better at this!

I tried to check exposure details, but the EXIF data is stripped from the photos

    Re: Softball / Baseball

When you shoot an baseball action photo, whether it's the batter taking a mighty swing or a close play at first base, the picture is much more effective if it shows the ball too. Or, if you're shooting the outfielder circling under a fly ball, try to capture the ball in the same picture so that we see the subject of the fielder's concentration.
