I was looking at John's (photo-John) skiing pictures, and it made me wonder...how does everyone take good (by my personal standards) skiing pictures? I brought my DSLR up with me a few days ago to take some self shots and shots of the mountains, but failed. Not only could I not see the LCD clearly enough to figure out what I needed to adjust, but the white balance was tricky to get. Also, I learned busting out your DSLR camera when your on the slopes is a slow process, and keeps you on edge the whole time.
So what do you guys do to take shots up in the mountains? I presume since the sun reflects off the snow, you could get away with a regular old P&S camera to get a fast action shot?
(John, fill us in on how you made your photos look so killer with a P&S camera!)
