    SKUSA Las Vegas

Taken a while to load these, longer than usual due to stuff happening and my hand not really working well.
First a couple of scene shots, for the day and night heats.

Shot with Micro 4/3 becuase I can't lift any of the Pro bodies.
No noise reduction applied, just resizing for forum.

Night and day, the Panasonic GH1 worked pretty well for me.
    Certainly outperformed my hand!

Is that a shifter cart endurance race, Paul? Is that the reason you were in Las Vegas? Are shifter carts a big enough deal now that you would travel from London to Vegas to shoot a race?

    Re: SKUSA Las Vegas

Ah no, our friend Martin Plowman (aka @Plowey) was racing there.
So not so much the racing as the people racing ... since I didn't make it to his last two Indy Car races, I wanted to see him again this year.
Plus we combined the trip with Angie meeting her sister and a few evenings out shopping or casino crawling for the girls.

At SuperKarts USA there were weveral differnet categories, one of which was the shifter karts, but there was racing for everyone from juniors right up to pros.
Martin wasn't the only Indy Car driver taking the opportunity for some off season action.
Martin was a karting champion on the way up before moving on to open wheel car racing and drove for the Zanardi Kart team, so it was natural for him to return to their team for this event.
