    Skate the Lake

Last night was the third installment of a skate competition held at Cunningham Regional Skate Park in San Jose. Some friends were competing in the Veteran's category which is 35 years old and up. These guys showed the young bucks how to skate this old school bowl called the Skull Bowl.

Outstanding images as usual. It takes a lot of knowledge of the sport and some great time and lighting to get pics like this. the light in the back ground bothers me some on all but the first one where it actually enhances the shot.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks, good point about the house lights. Had to let them in to get the sky. I wonder if the scale of how high #2 is registers? I gasped.

I didn't appreciate the height he's got in #2 because it's shot from a lower angle than the others, so mixing it with them it really doesn't stand out that much.

Nice stuff!! Did they have any issues with your strobe? It must have blinded them. I love this park, need to go back. What lens did you use? I like it!

No issues with strobes whatsoever. I know a few of the guys and if there was a problem, they would say something and I would move to plan B.

I had two umbrellas setup on the deck and shot with my 10.5 fish. I really just wanted the first shot, the rest were gravy.

My boyfriend would love this. He's into extreme sports.
