    Is sheep herding a sport?

My Border Collies recently had the opportunity to take Herding 101. I shot quite a few pics and this is my favorite. Which crop would you go with? By the way, is sheep herding a sport?

Don't know if its called a sport but they do have contests.
I love to watch all the herding dogs work.

The second because the sheeps feet and left side are chopped off in the first.
If it were mine, I would crop a little behind the dogs tail and some from bottom and top.

I don't think they're supposed to have bits of sheep in their teeth !

The sheep dropped that and he was just trying to give it back. :-) TF

Too funny... I noticed that too... Definitely adds to the photo... The sheep looked like it was due for a good sheer anyway...

And for me, I'd do a tighter crop based on the second shot, not amputating either animal... Just "tight enough"...

Thanks for the feedback everyone. By the way, no sheep were hurt in the taking of this picture. The wool was already on the ground and Shadow was trying to return it. Shadow always has to have something in his mouth, wool just happen to be the most convenient item laying around.

I will try a tighter crop, much like people, I like the expressions on the dog and sheep.
