    Scott Creek winter surfing

Santa Cruz was not working out so I headed to Scott Creek to shoot some locals.

I like that #5 best, where he is shaking hands with his reflection.

Outstanding as usual, I love the broken board shot.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Good stuff... I was down in Santa Cruz on Sunday near Steamer's and it looked pretty hit and miss, so I didn't grab the camera gear for that. Ended up shooting some volleyball instead... Not a bad "winter day", 70 degrees at the beach with nothing but sunshine and no wind. Water temps still in 50's though, as anyone could guess by the photos...

And yah, love the last one. Reminds me of a certain artist's chapel painting... Finger reaching out, odd, yet relaxed expression on his face... ;)

    Shal,

Neat shots. D3s + 600 mm. is a potent combination! I like #4 the most.

I like the 2nd image. By just looking at it makes you feel the intense of surfboarding

Yes, #2 has the advantage of some colour in the board too.
On a grey winter day, with black wetsuts, some colour is a great boost to the image.

Thanks, the light at Steamers is not that great in the winter. The really early light is ok but the mid morning light is all wrong. I'm just now figuring out the places to go depending on the direction of the swell. Scott seemed like a good place and it was.
