    Rugby League

Hi, I'm new here, just discovered the community and I think I'll enjoy contributing.

As an introduction, I'm a semi-pro who enjoys sport photography - but it almost all consists of Rugby League for me.

I shoot with a Canon 350D (Digital Rebel to some) with a Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L lens. It's not great in low light but was the best lens in my range.

So to really introduce myself, here are some recent photographs I have taken of the Leigh Centurions in the British Rugby League Northern Rail Cup, and Rugby League Challenge Cup.

    Hope you enjoy them

This is one heck of a sport. You've got some great action here.

I'm supposed to shoot rugby this year & very excited to try.

Rugby is a very demanding sport to play... But the best is after the game when the host team has the "celebration" of the sport (this is what we did in college) for both teams..... Great times....

These are wonderful pictures of a sport we don't see here (USA) a lot.

    Nice Job...

Yeah, the celebration is great, we call it "Third Time" ... I think is a tradition all over the world Played in Brazil.

U did a real good job capturing the action, but they appear a bit dark. I've had the chance to shoot some rugby last month and had a great time doing so. I posted some shots from the men's and women's game, they should be down below somewhere.

    Re: Rugby League

Thanks for the critique and thoughts on the photos guys. I enjoy seeing some feedback from fellow photographers.

Homer: I agree, on review they probably are a little on the dark side. I'll look to avoid that in post processing in future. Post processing is probably the place where I let myself down at the moment. So many options to fiddle with...
