    Rugby

I've been shooting a lot of high school track lately and wanted to get out and do something different, so here are a few shots to share.

Wonderful captures! How I have lens envy.

Saturday I shot my first ever rugby game. Now that's a sport. Non-stop action. I just loved it.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Great pictures... Makes me miss "the old days" of playing... But not the pain.....

I really like #3. The intensity of the game shows all over this...

Love the pics. #3 is really captures the aggression.

I love shooting Rugby League matches, the impacts can be brilliant.

    Re: Rugby

are these guys pros? Just wondering because of there jerseys... These are some great shots, you really do have a good eye. They are all great except for the shot on the very bottom with the arm in front of the guys face, I have the same problem with many sports also. Other than that one thing you can't help you did a great job.

    Re: Rugby

That last shot could have been great (isn't that always the way?) if you'd caught it just a little earlier rather than have his hand in front of his face.

The third shot I like because I know he's just handing off that number 11, but the expression on his face !

The line-out jump looks great, but did the down-sampling add the diagonal artefacts I see in the bottom right?

Side-stepping the tackle in #2 I want to know what happened next (a good thing!) because it looks like he might not have dodged it !

    All good stuff there.

    Re: Rugby

    Thanks for all the comments.

Hey Chris, honestly I'm not sure if these guys are considered pro. They do play all over the states.

SmartWombat - Those diagonal lines are not artifacts. That blue is a prymid on the campus of Long Beach State University. They use it for their indoor sports. It has diagonal patterns on the outside of it.
