The race is over, but....

The race is over but the month of May continues.
For the second year in a row I got to be around Sarah Fisher and her crew, but this year it was seperate from D&R and it was Sarah's own team.
Things didn't end the way we wanted but they will take a week off and see what can be done to get ready for Kentucky. Unfortunately I happened to be in turn three for the calamity that took out Tony Kanaan and Sarah and captured the whole thing, one that won't be used by the paper is attached here.
Even with the bad end to the race there were a lot of high points to the month for Sarah, the team and myself. One of my highs was seeing one of my photos blown up and in Sarah's suite :thumbsup:
Well now it's back to the normal sports for a while, including basenball sections today (Memorial Day!) and the rest of the week plus shooting the state track finals for another paper, two long drives two days in a row to Bloomington for that.

Nice catch JS. Any more (series) photos for this wreck? Is that fire or just sparks flying?

Congrats on having one of your photos displayed in such a prominent setting too.

There are 40 frames from this one, I just need to see what the paper uses before posting them. Just sparks, there was a bit of flame from gear oil from Sarahs car in one photo but thats all.

I didn't want to see this one either! Though I just saw it on the Jumbotron.

I'd liked to see both of them get to go a lot further.

Between this year and last I know most of Sarah's crew, I've known her husband 8 years and her team photog almost as long. Turns out one of our area sprint car drivers was a spotter for her as well.

maybe that is something you could drop, and see if they are looking for someone else or know of another team looking for a photographer. I know you'd have a blast being a team photographer traveling around with them.
