so I got a message from an older friend today who is running a lacrosse camp. he tells me one of his counselor's fathers had an accident so the kid had to go home. he doesn't know whether he's coming back, but if he's not, my friend wants to get me there for a month to help coach. it would pay between $1k and $2k. you know what that means.... 300mm f/2.8! oh man my parents are going to kill me for spending that much on a lens. oh well! I was just excited that I may have the potential to get a 300mm f/2.8 by doing one of my other passions, helping out with lacrosse. btw, i want to be a lacrosse coach later in life. wooo!

Seems like a dream job. Hope it works out, for the camp and the 300 f2.8. That 300 f2.8 is a very, very, very distant dream of mine.
