    Plastic wrap

I thought this shot was interesting from yesterdays swim meet. This was for the chance to go to the state finals next week.

Great title! That is just what it looks like. Hope the shoulder held up thru this shoot.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Plastic wrap

    Thanks OT.

Actually I came back a week early I think. I survived it OK but it hurt like hell. I shot both this swim meet and a basketball game later that night at the same school. I shot the entire basketball game with ice on my shoulder
I think if it were just the basketball I'd have been ok. Hopefully it will be a slow week...yeah right!

That's wishful thinking in KY and Indiana this time of year and the way basketball heats up.

Great shot, JS. It reminds me of a shot in this year's SI Swimsuit edition (pg. 64).

    Re: Plastic wrap

OK, what a day I have tomorrow now. Swimming at the middle school and two basketball games 30 miles apart ??? Not sure how I will get to both basketball games. And I have more swimming on Friday at the state finals at IUPUI.

Yes this is an interesting shot. You captured the movement through the water very well.

I thought you weren't able to post here pictures that were used? To me it's a cut above other photos you've posted, looks like one of the good ones that ought to have been published

    Re: Plastic wrap

Well it wasn't published, unfortunately it was one of the losing teams. They only had space for one photo from Sat. and used a funny shot of one of the winners diving into the water...he really looked awkward diving in, but set a record in the race so I guess it worked . He will be swimming Friday nite in the first round of the state finals.

    Go Vertical!

Very cool! Have you tried a vertical crop. I think it will work a lot better.

    Thanks Photo John,
Actually I did think of that but right hand is still so shaky I can't control the mouse enough to do it! It's amazing how weak a hand and arm can get in just a 1 1/2 hour operation . You should see my hand and arm shake! Good thing I have IS now now if the mouse had IS I'd be all set ;)

    Re: Plastic wrap

Here is the shot just before the other one, I thought they were both pretty cool. These were taken right after the swimmer turned around to go back the other direction and before he broke back through the water. The effect of the water is neat in that some things are multiplied as if looking through binoculars.
