    Broke in the 300mm f2.8 on a few pitcher shots.

    #1 is awesome, great focus on the face

    #5 great photo , the expression is quite funny

    all are great , nice blurry backgrounds

    Nice pictures Jaco how do you achieve those blurry backgrounds? I have a Sony HX1 and I never never never achieve that blurry bg at least in zoomed pictures. They only way I cant create that effect is if I am 1/2 from the object

    He's using a 300mm F2.8 lens
    EOS 7D, Canon 24-70F2.8, Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (with or without 1.4 Extender), and posting photos on my website: viewthroughmylens.net

    My cam specs are these:

    Lens Systems
    Auto focus TTL contrast detection
    Lens type Zoom
    Focal length 5-100 mm
    Equivalent 35mm focal length 28-560 mm
    Focus adjustment Automatic, Manual
    Min focus range 10 mm
    Lens aperture F/2.8-5.2
    Optical zoom 20 x
    Zoom adjustment Motorised

    The basic answer is you need better lenses. I don't think there is a way around it other than working in photoshop.

    Thanks for answering man, Did you take a lot to my cam specs? I just wanna be sure that It is my cam and not me, because I am a noob at this

    you won't be able to blurr the backgrounds like that with a p&s camera. the small senser/ short lens lengths, produce to big of a dof. except under extreme circumstances (like the background is 50x the distance the subject is to the camera)
