OK gooo easy, but I need some input

Here are a few shots that I took at the sons baseball game yesterday.

I know that most of you could "improve" the photos in PS or someother program, but that is not yet in my aresenal.

Feel free to let me have it, I am learing and trying to improve.

One note, on the kid getting hit with the ball, check out his last name.

Doesn't look to me like that camera needs a lot of improving on(PS work). Very nice colors and they are crisp. I know most of us keep harping on tighting sports shots up, but I feel a couple of yours could have used a little breathing room. Looks like your timing is good you might want to try and improve your shoting position to avoid getting so much back in some shots. With every sport but in particular youth sports those faces and expresion are what sell the pictures to the viewer. Over all a very nice presentation.

Thanks for the input, I may have taken some of what I have been reading too far as far as the cropping is concerned, I will take it all into consideration. I agree about the faces, everytime that I move to get a better position, a different play occured and I was not in the best position, but with good input I will take it and try to improve.

Yeah I know what you mean there. It can keep you hopping. One thing to keep in mind though if your trying to get several shots of batters is that a large percentage of batters are right handed and that you need to be to the first base side of the plate to get thier faces. I know if you have a son on the team it means being on the wrong side of the field for you sons team some of the time, but got to decide if you want the image or you want to be politically correct on where you are placed to cheer for the team.

if you had faces and better focus in these photos, they would be amazing. your timing is impeccable, now you just need to work on getting somewhere where you can shoot their faces.

If you're going to crop tight, don't crop off something like half of their foot. It looks sloppy, and just rushed. And also, a common rule is to not crop at joints. I find if I'm going tight, halfway up the thigh is a good spot. Just a little advice for the future, if you go even tighter.

Well, there is no reason imo to let you have it. I'm not a pro by any means, but I'll give you my -2 cents.

Your pics are really nice, great color and in focus. Also fantastic action. If they were my pics I would have not cropped so tight. I tend to crop tight, but I like a nice balance to what I'm cropping if the picture permits.
