Well OK I guess it's sport. There are certainly spectators and plenty of contact. Maybe the NFL will consider adding a little oil, It might add to some pretty high scoring games.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
Nikon Samurai #13
"A photographer is known by what he shows not by what he throws. The best photographers have the biggest trash cans." Quote from Nikon School sometime in the early 1970's.
I'm curious about this shoot. Did you get the job because of the ultimate fighting stuff you've been doing? It is a perfect sideways move. The technical aspects appear to be the same. Was there anything that caught you by surprise? Did this pay better than the other stuff you've been doing?
Technically, I didn't "get the job" because I'm not paid to shoot- I'm allowed to shoot, under no obligation to turn over my shots, and am allowed to make sales should I find a buyer. This promoter also has boxing and MMA events, so the invite was implied.
Shooting the event was real basic and much slower than fighting. The lighting however left much to be desired; most of the above shots were done with ambient lights... and with a f/1.4 prime and at iso 3200.
Interesting that the audience is predominantly male.
What camera and lens did you use?
