    Off the Ground

    I've been shooting soccer for several years and it seems like as the kids get older, they play more and more off the ground. Here are a few of my better shots from my son's U-14 team this season...

    That #1 image is weird, looks like he's balanced on the other guy's leg !
    Looks like it's going to hurt.

    #2 they look a bit like they're skewered on the poles in the background, could you have used an even wider aperture to blur it more?

    #3 looks good, but you've cut the ball. If he hasn't kicked it then it looks like a full blooded foot high tackle, was there contact?

    #4 is a great feat, but does he get the ball?

    I totally agree with you Lava Lamp. The older these kids get the more intense they get, which make better action and greater air. Nice job.
