    No visors - better drivers?

I rather liked the armoured knight look of the visors, and the reflections in them.
But I can appreciate that it's the expressions that make the picture for most people.

Well done. Some great eyes here. They tell the story in these images. Your auto sports photographs are truely outstanding. Thanks for posting.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Where

Where can I get one of those Red Bull vests??!!

It's a tough call with the visors. I really like being able to see the driver's eyes. It's so hard to get car pictures where it actually looks like something is happening. That's one reason I like motorcycle roadracing photos more. Motorcycles always look dramatic. But I think if we could see the drivers' eyes, car photos might be alot more interesting. Having reflective visors cuts out one of the elements that could make a photo more interesting.

I like the story that the young eyes tell the best.

#1 Well, of that collection Takuma Sato isn't quite the youngest. One of the few F1 drivers I don't have to crane my neck back to talk to !
I think the photo with his engineer is the best of the bunch, because he's actually looking at him as they talk, it shows the interaciton nicely.

#2 Vitantonio Liuzzi ("just call me Tony") was just walking around the garage while Christian Klien was on track. They were in a shoot-out during the 4 days of testing to see who supports David Coulthard in the Red Bull team.
Intersteing to see inside DC's cockpit that his chassis was not an RB01 but a Jaguar 04 - that's what a 400mm lens gets you from the grandstand over the pits.
There's a good team spirit there, the younger drivers are learning a lot from David, and are calling him Uncle David. It went as far at the Autosport show that during their autograph session they altered a poster of DC hanging by the signing area to say Uncle David

#3 Not a youngster, Olivier Panis has the eyes of experience there.

#4 This was in the garage after he went off and dirtied up the car in the gravel trap. He's describing how it all happened, how the car behaved, and what to do about it. Seemed to be something to do with braking (that I didn't capture) and the back end response over the cambered curve.
