    The new Santa Cruz skatepark

It seems eveytime I log in to photographyreview.com I get this message that says something like "It's been forever since you posted....get off your duff and add some photos". So, I got off of my duff today and got out to the new skatepark out here.

Here's one shot from today...I think it worked out pretty well. Let me know what you think!

    Thanks!

something just doesn't sit well with me about this photo. I want to like it, because it's all there. the lighting, the blue sky, everything...but for some reason, it just doesn't jump out at me. I think it may be because of the color. I'd like to see a red shirt or something on him. Did you use any type of filter for this shot dave?

This guy has "100% Skateboarder" tattoo'd on the back of his head. I wasn't going to be able to tell him to change his shirt. :cornut:

I think his legs got a little burned out because of the flash that may be what's bothering you?

    No filters, I used:
    ISO: 200
    Shutter: 500
    Aperature: F16
Off Camera Flash Set to 50mm @ 1/4 power (love those wizards)

I did bump the saturation 1-2 in CS2 then added a little USM before posting.

Thanks. It took lots of time, overtime at work, and permission from the fiancee to get some of the nice things listed. Also remember, asking for forgiveness is sometimes better than asking for permission - at least in my case if I don't do it too often.
