Need a P&S camera recommendation for Mtn biking

I really need to get a better P&S for taking action shots of me and my friends while mtn biking. Currently I have two to choose from:
    1) A Casio Exilim EX-S600 which I like because it's not much larger than a credit card when turned off and the lens is retracted. I can keep it in a small pouch on my Camelbak so it's easy to get to. It starts up quickly and has almost no shutter lag so it makes timing a shot pretty easy. The downside is that it just doesn't have a fast enough shutter speed unless it's really bright out. Not something we run into a lot while riding. Here's an example of one of my shots from North Shore last Saturday.

    2) A Canon G2 which does take much better shots, but has a bad shutter delay and is a bit bulky and has to be carrried in my Camelbak so it's not very convenient for getting a quick shot.

Ideally I'd like a compact camera like the Casio with very little shutter lag, but more options like the G2.

I race down mountains on a bike and I take photographs, but never both at the same time :nono:

Re: Need a P&S camera recommendation for Mtn biking

I've used a Canon A640 with good results when I'm being a weight-weenie. It has a very good lens and great resolution. The shutter lag is almost not noticeable. Check out the Pro Review Photo John did on it in the review section. He really knows his stuff about Mtn Bike photography.

While I have not crashed with it (yet). It seems to be small enough fit in a jersey pocket or Camelbak.

Here are a couple of shots from the camera:
