nice and close still Paul. With my 500 sitting in the Seagrave Tower row 32 I got just a touch closer on the end pitbox where Jr was actually still driving the 8 car back in 2007.
Still an awesome shot though =)
Shooting with an Olympus Evolt E-510 and loving it
These two were taken Sunday at the Brickyard 400. The first was with a 17-35mm Canon lens the second with my trusty old 70-200. These two lenses and a 2x converter are all I use anymore.

Here are two others from Sunday using the 70-200 and a Sigma 2x Extender. I was standing on the top level of the stands on the infield side of the track shooting the start of the race.

Nice to see a post John. I was hoping you would get in here with some Brickyard photos. that pit road is really narrow for NASCAR looks like it could be very dangerous for the pit crew. Hope all is well with you.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
Nikon Samurai #13
"A photographer is known by what he shows not by what he throws. The best photographers have the biggest trash cans." Quote from Nikon School sometime in the early 1970's.
Pitroad is 2 1/2 cars wide plus another car and half wide for the pit stalls so it isn;t too bad. They made it wider for NASCAR and F1 but it would be hard to make it any wider without taking stands away and that won't happen.
Thanks OT, some things are going ok, others not so well.....
