My son is trying out 4 the PROS tomorrow!

I know, I know.... This isn't a normal post, but this is where my PR roots are.

My son is pitching for the Angels tomorrow. Will anything come of it? I don't know. All I know is this is a badge of honor that will always be his to keep. The pros are scouting him and obviously interested. I'm so proud of my boy!

JETA - Like your shots here.. very clear, good angles. Congrats on your son's tryouts regardless of what results - what an accomplishment! Let us know how it goes.

ps - Photo-John says that the Edit function is normal and to extend our apologies. I really feel like a dummy there

Great news I hope it goes well. Do you think they might want to put a little weight on those bones?

Re: My son is trying out 4 the PROS tomorrow!

    Thanks Guys!

OT, he's 6'4" and solid muscle. Probably about 225 pounds. If you met him in person you'd be surprised. He doesn't look slim and his legs are gigantic and very long and he has wide shoulders. There are certain areas he doesn't want to bulk up though.

His work outs are much different then my football son who is 6'2" and 280 pounds. They are both weight lifting/workout addicts, and laugh how one could never do the others workout because it's so different.

225!! That surprises me. He just doesn't look that heavy. As tall as he is though he can distribute it pretty well. Please keep us up to date on how his tryout goes.

He has the perfect frame. Super long legs and shaped like a Y. He's all muscle that one.

PAul, I'm not sure if you remember, but the 2nd selective color shot was done because you. I had posted the photo in full color and the top of the fence was bright yellow. You found it distracting so I tried it out with a b&w background. (not sure that was the one you were commenting on)

I'll let you guys know what happen. I sure hope they don't kick his teeth down his throat. The pros probably aren't about that though. I hope.

We aren't expecting anything big to come from this, but it's a start and honor nevertheless.

I remember that, I should have said the last one, the butt shot
Seems to break almost all the rules, and I like it that way.
He's got no space to look into, the ball and his eyes are well off the thirds, his face isn't even the best lit object in the photograph.
    But is works !

Thank you PAul. That's one of my favorite shots of him. There are many things I think that could be picked apart with that particular pic, but it just screams at me. That shot is the essence of Antone. I don't think I ever posted it here because it's so outside of the box.

Well, Antone said the Scout didn't seem interested. Who the heck knows. He threw and that was it. He might get some feedback from his Coach on Monday.

Re: My son is trying out 4 the PROS tomorrow!

    One more update...
I guess Antone spoke too soon about it not going so well.

Right after Antone called me his head coach called him.

The short version of what the scout said.

Antone looked awesome. He needs to pick up his velocity just a touch and he will be draftable. He loved his movement and said he had the perfect build. Exactly what they look for. He also wanted to why he hasn't signed yet with a d1 school. The coach told him Antone wanted to go to the Seattle U, but they hadn't made him an offer yet. The scout said he was calling the coach at the seattle u to tell him he better hurry up because this kid is D1 and someone is going to scoop him up. Coach told Antone there are a lot of scouts out there, but this guy is among the most highly respected. He said now that he's under this guy's radar anything could happen.

Sounds like he has the stuff, now maybe the D1 coaches will be taking a closer look. Best of luck to him and keep us informed as things progress. One of the things I like best about shooting prep sports is watching some of the kids progress to the college ranks. Seldom does one of them get past that accomplishment. This is a huge deal and I know you are excited!
