    My second attempt Basketball.

Here are a few photos from a trip to a small division 3 college basketball game. Really struggled with things , but then got some help from a fellow Photographer. Anyway here is what i took with my Nikon d60.

Pretty good second attempt. From the wide angle I'm guessing these were shot with a pretty short lens. Generally speaking, for sports "tight is right". From your position on the floor you should have gotten some good action around the rim. The WB and noise look good and exposure is also good. Try to hit more peak action especially around the basket and you should get some good captures with this setup.

Yeah! thanks, the thing is once i had the right settings and all from a guy helping me out they switched sides and I had no Interest in shooting the other team so i went to the opposite basket unfortunately there are two sets of doors so my ability to get out wide for rim angles shots becomes difficult.

Also what is a good lens for basketball games?

My go-to lenses for BB are the 80-200mm f2.8, 18-50mm f2.8, and the 50mm f1.8 when I can't use strobes. For ambient light shooting, obviously faster is better. The 18-50 is great under the basket and the 80-200 for shooting from the corners of the baseline.
