    My daughters first game!

My five year old had her very first soccer game ever She was the goalie first. They lost, but I am still so proud! lol

and I just love that the kids are getting so into it! Even if they are taking the ball from their own teammates! LOL!

That top shot is great but needs to be lightened up, all of them are a bit dark. To avoid this if your camera has an exposure meter go one or two stops over the center and see how they look. Most digital cameras need to be over exposed slightly to get proper exposure. Great timing on that shot too! The bottom shot is way too busy, and I'd crop everything except the "action". The center shot the boy on the left is a bit too cropped, more of him would have made a really nice photo, although your daughter looks great in the shot. The colors are great too.You have a nice start there, and it appears your daughter does too, not afraid to take on the boys!

That is such a great age to watch and photograph. Now's the time to enjoy it and take some great shots in the process.

    Re: My daughters first game!

Thanks JS.. it was actually raining that day. The second pic.. thats a little girl with my daughter ;) and I was trying to just get a photo of my daughter. I wasn't really trying real hard to do anything with these photos. Just getting a couple shot of my daughters first game to share. I had my 2 yr old in my lap when I was taking these and it was raining pretty good. I ended up having to take my 2 yr old into the van for the remainder of the game lol

lol, now theres something I never tried, shooting while having a 2 year old on my lap....your lucky to get any pics that way, I can just imagine the 2 year old trying to grab the camera the whole time, or leaving finger prints on the lens.....

lol yeah.. but.. I'm a mom so I'm quite adept at doing things with a kid in my lap lol. Try playing Forza (a car racing game) on the XBox while nursing and infant ;)

Oh and even at two.. she knows better than to touch a camera lens and she says "Kemra" lol

LOL, I am always trying to play Battlfield 2 or similar games on PS2 with a 100lb 1 year old, or 15lb 10 year old trying to sit on my lap but then they are 4 legged variety....the 1 year old is my mutt Cassie, part Rotwieller and Pitbull, while the other creature is a barn cat. They act like kids though.....even hiding when the camera comes out

I've coached youth soccer including U4 for the past couple of years and just keeping track of the kids can be a chore. Looks like your off to a great start. I love the first ball shot with your girl in the oversized shirt. Nice catch with a 2 year in tow.
