    MTB & trail running races

I shot a couple of races on Saturday on our local trails that were a fundraiser for our trail advocacy organization. There was a technical trail run early call The Pummeler's Butt followed by a MTB race that was the series finale for the Growler Summer Series.
It's a local event, but our local riders and runners are some of the best there are so the competition was tough!
I shot this for our paper and also gave shots to the trails organization. It was a beautiful day and I had a great time, although I kind of wished I had raced too. Looked like (painful) fun!

These are great! Your recent photos are making me more and more interested in Gunnison. Of course, I like the mountain bike photos. But I think the runner photos are more interesting. I especially like the first one with that big wall of rock in the background. I probably would have shot a ton there, experimenting with that background

Thanks John! Thanks for the feature too!
