    Mtb

Well, I'm waiting to sell my Santa Cruz Blur LT (if you want one send me a PM  ) to buy the rest of the kit to build my new Santa Cruz Nomad. Rather than go to CCCX (where I know Scott has got things under control) I hiked out into the woods above Santa Cruz to get some DH shots.

I decided to play with slow shutter speeds towards the end of the shoot to see what I could get.

Here are a couple from today:

    Nice!

I like the spotlight effect of #1, it looks good.

Oh you can join me out at CCCX, They love having photogs there. Plus I could get some off camera flash tips from you as well hehe

On these are you using first curtain sync? wouldn't second curtain sync be more appealing?
    Just my input.

Scott - Thanks! I don't really know how much knowledge I could really give, but I'll do my best ;)

Jimmy - Yes, but you can't use 2nd curtain sync with PW's unless you have MultiMax's. I only have one Multimax and a few Plus/Plus II's. From what I've read you need to have all MM's to get 2nd curtain sync to work.

Just a thought on a slow sync off camera flash (sorry if this derails the thread for a second).

I'm brainstorming having one flash on camera set to manual, rear curtain sync. Put it on low power, just enough to fire & trigger a 2nd flash off camera in manual mode. I think I'm gonna have to go test it to see if it works.

I got mixed results in the past with something like that. I had a 580EX on camera and used pocket wizards trigger via PC port to trigger the remotes. I didn't get results that I liked, but I also didn't play with it that long.
