Here are a few from our last competition. What do you think?

    Re: Motorcycle trials

First two are ok with the first being cool because it shows a young guy learning and the second showing a pretty difficult spot.
Third is a great shot catching the sun flare trough the spokes.

The last one is the most interesting IMO but I think the lens flair is a bit too much for my liking.

    good shots.

Ahh - good to see you here again, zerodog!

The second photo isn't showing for me. Of the two I can see, I like the first one best. I think it's neat to see the little guy with that look of concentration on his face.

The sun flare silhouette is good, too. But I think it needs a much tighter crop. The moto and flare are right in the middle and that's not good. I also find the background distracting. I'd crop it to a square or even a vertical rectangle. Normally I wouldn't recommend that much cropping. But in this case I don't think it can do anything but help. And that sun flare is cool. Better to take full advantage of it by focusing the composition on it more.

    Re: Motorcycle trials

I moved some stuff in my gallery and lost a link. Doesn't look like I can edit my post on PR.

    Here is #2

I disagree on cropping #3 tighter. Could be cool, but you lose scale. I think when it comes to certain sports scale is very important. It isn't just the rider that is cool, it is also the stunt itself. I think the hard part about these sports like trials is making things look big as they really are.
