Had an interesting volleyball night.. the road gym only had one side of the bleachers pulled out... which allowed a lot of shooting from open space on the side of the court.. usually a spot with either students or parents in most gyms.. a good 3 game sweep on the hosts' homecoming week match, and an 8th grader (the starting setter too) who opened the 3rd game winning 12 straight points on serve.
1. I wish more of these girls played baketball besides focusing ONLY on volleyball with verticals like this
2. As in other threads I've shown, she still can't close her mouth hitting the ball
With all the extra space to move around, I went after as many non-net shots as I could after the first game
3. I either get her eyes closed, or her tongue out on every shot (occasionally both even)
4.
5. This might be a throwaway usually, but that's her mom and grandma (my high school counselor way back in the early 90's) so I kept the shot
6. Another that might be a throwaway, but kept it because she's the 8th grader who was on a string of servers and saved this point
7. This team doesn't do much of the celebratory stuff other teams do after winning points, so there's never much chance for the shots everyone likes the most
8. I think she noticed the camera, not that it's anything new for me to be at the matches
