More Mtn biking with off-camera flash

This is my 2nd try at using off-camera flashes for mtn biking. I tried a few like #3 with a faster shutter to simply freeze the rider instead of panning. One thing I had some problems with was timing it so the rider didn't ride past my flash range. One #1 & #2 I couldn't get the flash any further to the left so I couldn't get them at the peak of the jump. C&C welcome.

Well I don't know what I was seeing last night, but when I looked at them a bit ago they looked too flat. I've redone them a little so you might want to refresh the page if you've seen them already.

2 & 6 are my favorites. A couple of them colorwise look good, but a little dark.

    #1 & 3 aren't showing BTW.

I was also having problems with some not showing up. Try right-clicking and Show Picture. #4 & 7 are the ones that I don't think came out so well. I'm not sure why since at least #4 was the same jump where the others looked good. I did underexpose the background more than last time and I don't think I like it as well. 2 stops seems to be just right. There were about 3 stops under.

Well I'm not sure what's going on with Photobucket, but I've deleted them all again and reuploaded them and now it looks like they're showing up correctly.

Ah, I see them all now. #1 & #3 came out really good. In #3, is the rider jumping off that tree/rock in the background?

Re: More Mtn biking with off-camera flash

Thanks. If you look at #7 you can see the two kickers on that tabletop. The rider in #3 is going off the smaller one as it lines you up for the 15' gap jump in photos 1 & 2. #6 is my wife BTW and she says thanks
