The "upside down" shots are unreal! Nice timing OT!
I've been hired out to go shoot some soccer next week. Do you always shoot vertical for soccer? TY!
It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

To me most sports are vertical. That said there are always exceptions. For example on penalty shots when I want to get in the defenders and kicker and the entire goal. Depends on where I am shooting from too. And with which lens. With the 300mm and the 1.4 extender 95% are vertical. When the action is closer and I've switched to the 80-200mm I may go horizontal to include more of the off ball action. AS you can tell as in football there are time when the action itself goes horizontal with player going down or on the ground. So no I don't shoot all vertical. Have fun shooting soccer it's different than football because the play rarely stops and you don't have those huddle breaks and timeouts.

Great photos! I love that second goalie photo and the two of the guy in the air. At first I thought he must be doing a crazy upside down kick but I'm really not sure. Did he get tackled or is he actually kicking the ball?
It was a dive over the goalie and he ended up on his back.
