    More CC Volleyball (Custom WB)

Back to the orange gym for more white balance hell.. difference this time, they wore their black uniforms instead of the orange I posted from Monday night... I did a custom white balance shooting some white 'card stock' off the floor this time. They lost in 3 straight games without getting to 15 points themselves.. match lasted 50 minutes.. not a great photo op. I think the WB is better but probably under-exposed this time, I might go down to 1/640 next time rather than 1/800 from tonight

    3. Pretty much sums up the match.. the other team had height and athleticism compared to very little.

    4. Not a great photo, nor straighened, but a shot to really show what the orange mats all around the gym do for WB and the floor

What ISO are you at and what noise reduction software did you use?

ISO 3200 and Neat Image at around 40% luminance and chrominance settings..seems to at least minimize a little the plastic look of noise reduction.. probably could go lower on the settings still

Shot the D2 team (Minnesota-Duluth) at ISO 2500 and 1/800 and used 30% Neat Image on Tuesday night.. much different game also

Somehow I got the players I wanted in focus while the two defenders aren't so much in the first two

I just found out about Neat Image and have been messing around with it and thought your snaps looked like they were run through the program so I wanted to get your settings so I could start tweaking mine.

    Thanks.

I guess the white balance on the orange gym shots looks better than the thread from Monday.. since it wasn't even mentioned ...

Any idea how to batch process a large number of photos through neat Image so I don;t have to do one at a time?

I haven't looked into doing batch editing yet.. but click help and go to their community forum.. there should be plenty of answers there.. I still do each one individually.. takes 3 or 4 seconds each but if you're doing a huge number obviously it would be advantageous to do it that way.
