    Maui Surf Shots.

Went to Hookipa to shoot some surf. These are some of the ones I thought were "showable"

Thanks, D3s and a 600mm from shore. Some PP to get rid of the haze and mist.

    Shal,

You captured some great surfing action here, but I also have reservations as to the number of images posted. I don't know what the limit is in this forum or if there even is a limit. Pehaps the forum moderator can inform us.

One other website with which I am familiar has a maximum of nine permitted, but you have to be a platinum member to post that many! For those in the lowest membership category the maximum is three although the rule is loosely interpreted, and members frequently exceed that number with impunity. But 16 or 20? The forum moderators would definitely be on your case!

I believe that you had a higher percentage of winners in the second batch of four than the first batch of 16. Of the total of 20 posted my favorites are #4, 9,12,15,16,18,19, and 20.

There is a limit in the critique forum, but not here.
Having sat through interminable holiday slide presentations I know less is more sometimes
    I could have just 4, 13, 20 !

I well remember sitting through one of those slide shows which the presenters labelled their "endless slides of Europe." At the end when the lights when on virtually everybody was asleep!

Thanks Bob, The great thing about this forum is that the moderator is not shy about telling us when we are out of line. Also, that is the beauty of an on line forum, you can skip any threads that you think are too long or don't interest you.

    Shal,

This is a change of subject, but I'm curious whether Hillsborough stills hold their annual Concours d'Elegance? When I lived on the Peninsula years ago I attended that premier event a number of times and always came away with shots of some really great vintage automobiles.
