Talking Losing it...my mind that is

Ouch! I have missed a lot here, and at home too. 2 weeks and 1 day off, I'm actually wanting rain so I can get a day or two off! Things at Indy are going well, although I am sleep walking and it's only day 4 today! This month is going to be nuts to say the least. Not only working all day at the track but then after the track as well. Tonight it was track, the next three days baseball and Saturday night it's a prom. I get home the dogs won't let me sleep because they missed me all day
Anyway, just wanted you all to know I am still alive, just too busy to drop by very much. Take care and keep shooting!

HI JS! You know I've been thinking and wondering how you are doing. Thanks for checking in.

    How is Gizmo doing?

Sure sounds like you are spread thin, but I'm so happy things turned around for you.

I sold my Mark IIn today. I feel like I just sold one of my children. lol

    Hey JETA,

Sheeesh, I JUST finished fixing and sending yesterdays photos for todays paper. That and I still have to make a CD for Sarah Fisher Racing....it can wait though.

Gizmo is doing fine, slowed his growth down....but there may be little Gizmo's on the way and worse yet Cassie seems happy about it

Spread thin doesn't cover it.... I feel like a steam roller ran over me! And 80+ degrees at the track didn't help matters today.

I'm off to try and get some sleep!

DUDDDE, I have missed you. I was watching "coverage you can count on", on the tube about the race and thought about you. Hope you didn't get to close to Clinton wouldn't want any of that to rub off on you.

Good to hear you're surviving John! Hey, you could worn out and sleepless from two straight weeks of studying and finals . I'd take a long, sunny day at the track any day! Hang in there and keep us updated when you can. Indy should be great this year; I'm looking forward to it myself and I'm not really a big IRL fan.

    Brad,
Qualifying will be interesting with as little track time as teams have had. Some already said they are skipping pole day as they don't have a chance, yet they are now calling for rain, so it could get really interesting! the race should be interesting as well. Speeds went up quick, a lot quicker than anyone expected, especially for the rookies.

LOL, Keep in mind I'm not just at the track, I'm also doing my normal stuff afterwards for the paper. So when I am done at the speedway I go shoot track, softball, baseball etc, then go home and go through all the days photos and do whatever writing I need to do. It ends up making an 80+ hour week.
Even today the track was rained but I ended up shooting a track meet. Tomorrow it's all day at the track followed by two double header baseball games and an 8th grade "prom". Saturday it's Pole Day at the track followed by a high school prom at the childrens museum. it's this way the entire month, some days 5 to 10 jobs to shoot.

Sounds like those down times of a few months ago a distant memory. Sure wish you had time to share a few images with us sounds like you are filling up a lot of cards. Maybe we can catch up on what your doing now next winter. Keep shooting and keep us up on the latest from the track.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Larry,

Yeah, I wasn't busy enough Saturday so I added more work, I shot all day at the track, then a prom. As soon as I got the card from the prom dumped I went to a house fire. I worked 9am Sat to 2am Sunday, plus 2 hours more gping through and sending fire photos!

I have two new "toys". A Dell notebook and Verizon Wireless so I can send from events/incidents if I need to. It's been a big help so far this month

Those aren't toys John they are great tools that are making your job easier and you more effective. Glad to hear about your new acquisitions.

hehehehehe, I do have some games on the computer, it helps during rain delays and wasting time

It is neat though sending the pictures as I drive home and get stuff in in time for deadline.

This week will be busy, besides 4 full days at the track I have 8 other jobs between this evening and Friday night with another possible addition to tonights schedule as well. Monday I had tennis as well so another week without a day off May is a busy busy month!
