Local short track this and that.

Fellow Site user Tadrscin and I spent Saturday at the local short track for the tracks 500 laps in one evening big show. 5 classes of cars on 3 different tracks. Tad let me use his fish eye lens( got to get one in the future) for a bit. I tried to get some more of the human aspect of things on some of the shots posted.
    Thanks for looking, Jimmy B

Number three is a cool shot but it would be better if the bottle wasn't covering his face.

Nice work Jimmy. Local short tracks are where it happens all over the country. Thanks for sharing.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Carl and Larry thanks for the comments. I need to see the bottle through the camera, I am just used to looking past that type of thing when I am at the track. Carl have you ever been to a Nascar east race?

Looks like you have been having fun Jimmy. Glad to see your still at it. BTW, do you know Rick Walker? (the official)
I did some local shorttrack stuff a couple weeks ago, my yearly visit to the Rainttree 100 at Mt Lawn. The nice thing there is I get to shoot from the flag stand there as the flagman is a friend of mine from the old NAMARs midget days at the Speedrome. You can get some interesting stuff from there.

Nice stuff Jimmy. As soon as I have time, and it cools off enough that I can go upstairs and turn on the computer, I'll edit a few and post them.

JS I would love to use a fish eye or wide angle from the flag stand. Does your buddy work for the N sanctioning body?
Carl go to nascar hometracks .com and loook for the camping world East division, they run in the NE.Good group of racers.
Tad it's funny to say Salt lake City is cooler than Seattle now.It will be interesting to see your shots, it was a fun day shooting with you!

    Jimmy,
I think he's working for the CTS series, can't remember off hand. He didn't work the Kroger weekend as he was off that weekend and spent the weekend at some other races including the 400. The flagman though works for Mt Lawn Speedway.

Tad shot 4 the 76 did get hit pretty hard.I was curious on how the very low angle shots came out as in #1. I hope we get to get out and shoot some more soon.

Yeah that's why he didn't have a number on the car towards the end of the race. Still won though. I'd love to do it again. Pacific Raceway would be fun.
