OT I love how the insignia on the bat frames the ball on #2 ! Wish i had time to get out and shoot some more baseball.

I had to do a double take on that one too. It first I thought there was some kind of glow around the ball. I didn't shoot nearly as much LL this season as usual and it's my nephews last year at this level. I guess I'll have to find a different team to follow next year.

OT, these are great shots, but the second one is off the hook!

I love that angle too. It looks like you are standing right in front of the players.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

Thanks JETA! I liked that second one too. This was a very difficult park to shot at with high chain link all around and no good angles to shoot from. All but the first image were shot from center field 200 feet from home plate. I was shooting through chain link with a 300mm lens with a 1.4 extender hand held. I was generally pleased with the results.

These are great OT and it looks like your taking advantage of those shots from the outfield. It's a great angle that seldom used. Very nice.

Thanks Jim. With the right equipment and when the field is positioned right It can be a very effective perspective to shot from. Glad you liked them.

Nice job Larry. I can say for the first time in several years I haven't shot much in the line of spring sports. I think I shot two baseball games all year. I know my timing would be way off now.

thanks Brian! I'm sure it would come back in a hurry. It's a whole lot like riding a bike once you learn it doesn't take long to get back in to full form. Give me a call and we'll go out and shot something sometime soon.

Thanks Tony and Betty I appreciate your kind comments. As for the 300 f4 Nikkor, I have to say that it was one of the best purchases I have made in a very long time. Used from KEH it was a real bargain and it works great with the tele extender. I would have loved to have the 300 f2.8 but on my budget that was just not possible. But for day time sports this f4 is a God send.
