    Last game before Xmas break

Okay guys....as always feedback welcome....let me have it...:blush2:

I have given out at least 200 photo's to the kids on the Varsity, JV and JJV basketball team as christmas gifts...all the kids had big smiles, and the parents are in awe...(like I know what I am doing...hahah if they only knew...)

And word has it that Santa is coming to my house with a brand new Canon 40D....now to work on that new lens....hopefully before baseball and golf start....
#1...I know no ball in the picture, but I couldn't resist.
    #2...My son, the team captain.
#3...One of the youngest on the JV team.
We won 66-47 so the young guys got to play alot...kudos to them..

Thanks everyone....and I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday...

    Betty,
There is a lot to try to capture in basketball. You are right, the ball is important. I also like to see both eyes of the main subject if possible.

Any thoughts expressed here are expressly those of nobody important and shouldn't be taken too seriously

Yeah, Xmas vacation... no vacation here I'll be working every day during the holidays whether it's shooting something or workin on my trucks

Anyway, one thing I noticed here was the color is better, as is the light. Granted I agree eyes help but you can't always get both of them, at least one though.

Thank you guys....I will try and work on that too.....

I am with you on the work thing, since I co-own a heating oil business, no vacation for me either..not this time of year.....gotta make up for the 80+ degree days when we do nothing...

Has anyone seen Jeta around....or is she still recovering?

    Thanks again...

Re: Last game before Xmas break

I love seeing your pics Betty and you've really come along way.

It's fun for me to watch you because you remind me of me when I first started. Heck, I even had the same camera. One common thread is the love of our child. That's what brought me to sports photography. It actually started with baseball for me. Like you I gave out pics to everyone and even set up a site so they could copy them all for free.

Now my son is done with hs football and I will be coming back to the football field and doing the team shots, portraits etc. The difference is next season I'll be shooting as a pro. This year I made almost 5K for the team selling pics, slideshows and doing portraits. Next year I'm donating a small portion and keeping the rest. The love of the sport and moola now motivate me since my widdle Brendan is done.

Whoops. Sorry to make this all about me! lolol
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
