JV Football Week #3 (catching up)

Here is week three. This is a Friday afternoon game (game time 4:30 p.m.) so the lighting is better. Mike is still the photographer with my Canon 20D & Tamron 100-300 f/5-6.3

I won't be able to brag about this team like most of you can. There are only 7 sophmores on this team and only about half the freshmen have any prior football experience. My son David is included in those freshmen without experience. All I can say is they get better each week.

I can understand the frustration the sophmores must be feeling. Dave & Mike were the only 2nd year Junior Division (Little League) players on their baseball team this spring and they had a very difficult time with the younger players, getting them to play with enthusiasm and helping them adjust to the larger field. I guess I can be relieved that David is a starter on the football team, so he must be doing pretty good.

#1 - Nice open field tackle
#2 - Poor quarterback (this is the picture the paper published)
#3 - Interception (you can see David #30 down field)
    #4 - Nice jumping catch

BTW - #23 is 14 years old and 6' 1" - he will be a starter on the varsity basketball team and is a very good athlete.

big fan of the first photo, but the third one.... it confuses me why it's cropped like that. Was the ball intended for #30 downfield?

nice shots but some are a bit soft and or out of focus. Could be do to the slow lens.
