    JV Football scrimage

Well, this was interesting.....we played in a vacant lot....some cones down as markers...and that was it....but after all it was a scrimage game, and the coaches were close on the field trying to teach these young guys a little something....LOL..
But they all had a great time...

Now I haven't done this in a while, and I am really rusty, but here goes...

    Re: JV Football scrimage

Great timing - love the 3rd and 4th shots. But, they all look a little over-exposed. If you shot in RAW, you could probably pull them down and recover most of the blown out areas.

    Thanks Brad....
I am at work..supposedly working...hahaha....and the monitor here isn't a great one for photos, so I wasn't sure if I was adjusting the lighting and or exposure correctly....
    Yes I always shoot RAW....

That is a great straight-arm series you added. The first set of shots are nice but looks like your positioning was behind the action, was this by choice.

    Re: JV Football scrimage

Well....I guess it was more by chatting...LOL....I had so many parents wanting to ask me questions and talk....I could hardly move....and with this scrimage I actually could have walked out on the field....could have gotten some really great advantage spots....but....I guess I should have just walked away from the parents...LOL....oh well....JV has another scrimage next week, will see if I can get on the field then....I will be on the sidelines for the Varsity game this Sat....so the parents can't get to me there...LOL

Ooooooooooh, I love nice straight-arming shots! You nailed that first one.

One of the beauties of the youth football and hs team I shoot is nobody is allowed on the field. It's probably hard to monitor a vacant lot. lol
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

    Re: JV Football scrimage

That's right Jeta.....it was all for practice for the JV team, the other team was a parks and rec team, and so we played up there on a vacant lot....the boys just looked at each other and thought they were loosing it....LOL...

The real thing is tomorrow with the Varsity team, I will see how close to the action I can get with them...and not getting run over...IF you know what I mean...LOL...
