    HS Basketball

Last game of the regular season and I shot in a gym I've never been in before. For an old school it was lit very well and I shot without strobes at ISO 1600 and was pretty happy with the outcome.

    Nice shots for the conditions.

I was once given some CC about cutting off limbs and having the basketball at the edge of the sot. I see you have done both in a couple of the shots. What's your perspective on this?

I try not to cut off limbs, especially at the joints, but obviously in sports sometimes it just happens. I also try to get the ball in almost every snap as without it the editor will most likely not use the image. As far as the ball at the edge of the shot I don't think it really matters and I've never had an editor say anything positive or negative about it.

Pretty darn nice for an older gym and shooting ISO 1600. Sure hard to believe that the basketball season is winding down. I'm going to our first tournament game tonight.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
