    Horse racing

We just finished a long standing tradition here with the Cattlemen's Days rodeo, carnival, and livestock show. I didn't make it to the rodeo this year but I stopped by the races yesterday and grabbed a few shots. It was pretty cool!

All shot with the K-5 and DA L 55-300 f/3.5-5.6 (cheap slow zoom) except the last which I used my 15mm Limited prime for.

Ah that explains why the jockeys are so big compared to our racing jockeys.
Not sure I'd have taken that second shot, not an angle I'd usually think of because there's no eye contact.
Being unusual makes it stand out in this set.

That 15mm prime looks good processed in B&W.

    Thanks guys!

SmartWombat - so what explains the size of the jockeys? Not sure I follow. I'm thinking they are big (ish) because this is regional low stakes racing, but they are all generally pretty small compared to an average person.
That 15mm is a favorite lens of mine. There's just something about the rendering that makes the images very likable (by me anyway). The color rendering is also really nice.
