Horchata The Mountain Bike Doggy!

I've been writing and shooting too much recently to post much on the forums. But here are a few photos that just had to be shared. For one, there kinda different for the sports photography forum. They're also tons of fun and I took them with a camera that's really been a surprise to me - the Pentax K-30. This is Rob, a.k.a. zerodog, and his awesome trail mutt, Horchata. Horchata is a stubby little chihuahua mix but he can put down some miles. This ride was a bit over 13 miles with over 1500 feet of climbing and Horchata did the whole climb before he climbed in Rob's pack for the descent. And that's their routine - Horchata runs the uphill and flat stuff and then rides down in the pack. When I heard about it I had to get some photos

The Pentax K-30 is great - especially when you compare it to the Nikon and Canon cameras at the same price point. I'm not sure about the continuous auto focus yet. But the image quality is stellar for an APS-C sensor camera.
