hmmm, DRebel did pretty good tonight!

I was actually impressed by the results tonight at a soccer game, even in the dark of night. The place this was shot didn't have lights last year, other than temporary rental lights!
This year the school has lights, poorly adjusted as all the light is centered on the midline of the field from end to end and dark goals, just like dark endzones on a football field.

Beleive it or not this was was shot with ISO of 1600, shutter 500 f2.8 at 146mm. No noise cleaning was done, all I did was auto level in Elements 2.0.

Not bad, JS. The image is a little soft, but the colors seem to be spot-on. Great job.

I don't think at my age I'll be around another 60 years... 20-30 max.... family traits don't allow for much past 70... don't think anyone went past 70 come to think of it....

So at least I won't get hemroids sitting at a desk

Re: hmmm, DRebel did pretty good tonight!

I don't think I could really handle another desk job for a while. Not that I have ever really had a "desk" job per say...I once worked at my campus's information desk. That involved a whole lot of sitting and doing nothing.

My college degree is in information technology. This summer, with just one class away from graduation, I decided I didn't like that field any more. I'm just gonna get my one class done with and out of the way so I can get my degree and then try to go into photography.

    Looks awesome to me JS.

Soccer is one sport that drives me a bit bonkers shooting.

I'm to the point the sports don't faze me anymore. Now the different schools, crapy lighting and officials drive me nuts! Some schools just want too much info before allowing me in. Some are sooo bad on parking it makes you want to scream.

I think it should be a law that schools cannot build gyms or stadiums with out first consulting a professional photographer to make the lighting is OK.
