High School Wrestling

As mentioned in the thread titled wrestling, I was attending my first high school wrestling tonight... all shot WITH flash.. and yes ISO 1600, but I don't think they turned out nearly as bad as I figured they would..

It's amazing how LOUD 100-150 people and the coaches from each side can be at a wrestling match.. it's nothing like the basketball and hockey where there are points with not nearly as much noise. I can't imagine how loud the BIG tournaments are (a friend mentioned that at the meet) when there are 3 matches going at one time in one gym!

What lens were you using? What flash did you use?

Because I'm still just a 'newbie' starting out.. They're done with the Rebel XS (that will change sooner than anything else I hope) .. ProMaster 7500 flash and the EOS EFS 55-250 mm lens.. definitely not the ideal equipment for sports stuff (though the flash has done wonders for the equipment since I got it)... but for now it works.

One more pic from the page of them.. the friend's kid who I actually went to see wrestle.. a sophomore in the 285 weight class... he won one and lost one in the tri-meet.
