    High School Pole Vaulting

Was on vacation during the last two weeks and just relaxed, but I did have some track to shoot during the first week.

I shoot for my son's high school and am attempting to get as many of the players as I can, so during this meet I focused on the pole vault. With that said here are some shots to share.

Now I posted these on another forum and was asked for a series of shots of a kid going over the bar. So here the sequence.

Fun to watch. I would watch those guys sometimes when I ran track in college. The shots that make you wonder 'how are they ever going to make it over that bar' appeal to me.
    Nice set you have there.

Great shots. The sequence is nice to see b/c it really illustrates the strength of the jumper to pull himself up over the bar.

I love this! I use to pole vault in High School myself ! Do you have any shots of them on their way back down to the mat ? Plus some shots when they stutter step and shoot backward would bring back most of my memories !

    Nice shots!
