    High School Football (Mostly Ambient)

I started tonight's game with the my flash on the camera, but quickly realized it wasn't going to be a good day for that, even with fresh batteries.. cold and windy and it was taking nearly 5 seconds to recycle for another shot. Our field isn't the worst in the area by far, so I went to ISO 3200 midway through the first quarter instead. Most are ISO 3200 1/640 SS, other than a few from the end-zone that I went down to 1/400 in the darkness.

    First two are flashed (obviously)

The biggest downside to ambient is the shadows from the helmets/facemasks

    4. 1st half ended with an interception in the end zone, darkest of the two endzones as well

Neat Image does a respectable job at high ISO.

I think I mentioned it before, but a big thing with Neat Image is to *NOT* add any sharpening with the program itself.. if you do any sharpening, do it before you get to neat image.. the program tends (to me anyway) to have much higher levels than photoshop
