Re: Help Me understand my choice(s)... please.

Speculate all you want, I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I'm totally an obsessive compulsive type person, so I research all this stuff beyond reason.

I ran across my Dad's old AE-1 with a Canon 70?-210 F/4 lens. I think I'm going to go see if I can find some ISO 3200 film out there and screw around with it for the next game. I know it's archaic, but it'll give me something to practice with while I figure out what I want to buy in the digital world.

3200 iso film may be pricy, try 1600 at most w/flash, you could actually, and be better off with 800 iso and flash... thats what one person I know shoots with.

wow, I checked resellerratings.com and hotbuys had a dismal record.

JS, you were actually able to get your lens from them with no issues?

Yup, no problems at all. I ordered around 4pm on a Sunday, by 9PM UPS had it and it arrived on time at my place.

We did call it in, did not do it online, maybe that is the difference.

You may not want to put too much stock into those places that have ratings on sellers... 99% of the comments are by people who think they were screwed, people with good experiances rarely take time to do ratings.
