    Gitls BB

One of the biggest honors in high school basketball in Indiana is for your team to be invited to the Hall of Fame Tourney as just four teams from the state are invited each year for a one day tournet for girls and boys. It's held at the worlds largest high school gym, the New Castle Fieldhouse which seats 9000 people. They don't sell it out but they do get some very interesting games This year one of the schools invited was from our county and another a neighboring county that one of our sister papers covers. But I got to add a third paper to the nights work once at the games... hey, I had a 3 out of 4 chance of getting shots of the Champs and as it turned out it was a 100% chance in the finals. The local girls came in third and won the consolation game after being soundly defeated earlier in the day. That game went into OT after a bad play almost cost out locals the game but they battled back in OT to pull off the win. I only shot the first period of the championship game due to the last paper I added having an early deadline but got home just in time to send them off and they ran both of the shots I sent them.since their top scorer was in both shots. These are from the second game, no flash, 1600 ISO f2.8 shutter 1/250

Way to keep busy during the holidays, I'm also having withdrawals. Nice shots by the way.

Ummmm, well it's like this JETA.... I can't see half the keys on this keyboard anymore as they are worn off, and I couldn't see on the monitor that it was a t and not an r ... that and being half asleep and dealing with two rowdy dogs

Yeah, I liked that shot with the hair too

No withdrawls here, 2 games yesterday and FOUR tonight! Originally I had 2 tonight but just found out the staff shooter called off so I now I get to go shoot all 4 games of the county tourney tonight. Fortunately it's at two schools.

Nice to see you're back at it JS! I thought I was going to be the only one with the holiday tournaments. Nice shots in what appears to be a challenging gym judging from the dark bleachers. I was supposed to shoot a tournament game tonight but wound up having to put a water pump on my truck. :mad2: However, our North HS girls should win tonight which will put them in the championship final tomorrow night. Now that I can quit my mechanic job I'll be heading down to Bowling Green for that one.

    Daniel,
The lighting here is really interesting, and it really helps the photos Attached is a shot from "ground level" but it shows how the light is basically over the walkway around the ground level and over the court, f2.8 @ 320 is easily done, and up to 500 if shooting down from the stands.
